Map & Directions
Mickleton is a picturesque Cotswold village set within the district of Gloucestershire and offers stunning countryside views, walks, trails and cycling routes as well as local fairs, festivals and music events which are held throughout the year. Located only 3 miles away from the pretty market town of Chipping Campden, it is ideally located for visiting Hidcote Manor Gardens, Stratford-upon-Avon, Broadway and Evesham. The Heart of England Way also runs though the village making it a very popular place to stay for walkers and ramblers.
Packed full of thatched cottages and timber framed buildings, Mickleton is also well known for its market gardens, fresh produce, rich heritage and traditional English charm. There are several food stores, a butchers, a Post Office, tea rooms, two traditional pubs and a church that dates back to the 12th Century.
According to legend, the famous Meon Hill located on the Heart of England Way, is said to have been formed by the Devil after he tried to throw a clod of earth at Evesham Abbey but missed!
